Welcome to the Schorlemer Library
This is the website of the library inventarisation and digitalisation project started in 2010. This library contains more than 5,000 historical documents.
Introduction
The Schorlemer library, built up in the late 19th and early 20th century mainly by German politician Clemens Freiherr von Schorlemer and his family, provides an insight into an interesting period of change in the German Reich.
The library contains novels, books, articles, scientific papers, magazines, portraits, newspapers and more. The evaluation, ordering, classification and digitization took place in 2010; the results were later made available online.
Classification
The original classification signature of the historical library was retained during evaluation and categorisation and, where necessary, extended.
